As part of YOLAN’ network meeting series, we held a network meeting with our youth network members to discuss the ongoing challenges youth in Afghanistan are facing and the opportunities to overcome these challenges.
Overall, the participants shared concerns over restrictions on girls education and employment opportunities, lake of incentives for youth for their civic activism, restrictions and fear from the local authorities to be persecuted because of their civic activism, youth unemployment, and lake of resources and funding for their civic activism.
The findings and notes taken from these network meetings will be shared with relevant stakeholders including donor organizations and other envolved parties to take action on these issues.
